Hello
participant-7471, 6:34 PM, December 9
Hello e.e
participant-3927, 7:13 PM, December 9
I am looking to create a catalog of key libertarian initiatives that failed
participant-3927, 7:13 PM, December 9
Like Minerva and Prospera
participant-3927, 7:13 PM, December 9
Each would be like a blog post on the website
participant-3927, 7:16 PM, December 9
And for each case to provide (a) well known facts that contributed to the failure , and (b) an objectivist analysis (c) analysis from political organizational perspective (e.g. there was no prior agreement made with nearby states)
participant-3927, 7:16 PM, December 9
You can help me with starting each article and doing part (a) and perhaps part (c)
participant-3927, 7:16 PM, December 9
I am going to put the whole website on GitHub
participant-3927, 7:17 PM, December 9
And you can do a pull request
participant-7471, 7:17 PM, December 9
Próspera has not yet failed; a book titled Crack-up Capitalism by a leftist Canadian historian discusses related themes
participant-3927, 7:18 PM, December 9
There is also the work of editing copy, ChatGPT is not sufficient
participant-3927, 7:19 PM, December 9
It’s a Hugo based website
participant-3927, 7:20 PM, December 9
It also has a Russian version, under a subdomain
participant-3927, 7:20 PM, December 9
The reasons is that most likely land will come from a Russian speaking territory , eg Konigsberg
participant-7471, 7:21 PM, December 9
You might consider starting with Atlantis II by Van Notten and MacCallum
participant-3927, 7:21 PM, December 9
Also, I am not against creating a crypto-currency to fund the project
participant-3927, 7:22 PM, December 9
Anthem Coin
participant-3927, 7:22 PM, December 9
When I first had the idea, Network States weren’t a phenomenon yet, and I thought that the risk is too high for the initiative to be seen as fake way to raise money
participant-7471, 7:23 PM, December 9
Use this for crypto crowdfunding: juicebox.money
participant-3927, 7:27 PM, December 9
Thank you for the tip
participant-4603, 8:01 PM, December 9
Minerva for sure is a textbook case.
participant-3927, 8:34 PM, December 9
I have created a private repo with the website implementation (a Hugo based one).
participant-3927, 8:34 PM, December 9
If you give me your Github ID, I will give you access to the repo.
participant-3927, 8:34 PM, December 9
The repo is private because I don’t want the drafts to be readable online.
participant-3927, 7:40 AM, December 11
Welcome Vit
participant-3927, 7:40 AM, December 11
I just launched the site a few days ago
participant-3927, 7:41 AM, December 11
I am surprised how time consuming it’s to write articles
participant-6456, 7:44 AM, December 11
Hello guys. Good job
participant-2236, 8:42 AM, December 11
Hello. I’m Sergey from Australia. I would like to be in this channel for some time, I guess as a quiet observer/spy, if that’s ok with you all. Even though I don’t share many of the aspects of Boris’ worldview, I like Boris himself :) So I’m curious about what will go on here. But I’m not sure I will be a forever member. Hope it’s ok.
participant-4603, 9:12 AM, December 11
Boris is one of the more principled, consistent, and ethical individuals I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and he tends to be spot-on right.
There’s no question that the objectivist perspective and worldview have a tremendous amount of merit to it because it is grounded in real-world pragmatism.
Sometimes it’s important to give ancaps and libertarians a reality check. And sometimes, and this is where I suppose I’m going out on a limb here, it’s okay to test and challenge the reasoning that objectivists hold.
participant-3927, 2:47 PM, December 11
Yes, challenge away, be my guest
participant-3927, 4:31 PM, December 11
What we can do is an article of the form of opinion + comment. You write an opinion piece , and me or another Objectivist will write a comment under it, or as inserts. This will both allow you to present with facts which you know probably better, and it still will not betray the goal of the anthemist project.
participant-3927, 4:32 PM, December 11
For example, I plan to post reviews about major libertarian initiatives, so you can assist about presenting the facts (timeline of events), for the case that you know well
participant-3927, 4:34 PM, December 11
The site is written with Hugo html generator, and hosted on GitHub in a private repo. I can add you to see the repo, and you can edit directly markdown files and make pull requests. Etc.
participant-3927, 4:41 PM, December 11
There are now two articles on the site, one on libertarianism and one on Zionism
participant-3927, 5:26 PM, December 12
Hello Alpha
participant-3927, 5:26 PM, December 12
Feel free to introduce yourselves and PR your projects
participant-6456, 5:27 PM, December 12
Anyway if somebody did not know me we are building a country Liberland
participant-3927, 5:29 PM, December 12
@participant-854
participant-3927, 5:31 PM, December 12
@participant-2236 I published yesterday an article in Russian , on the Russian version of the site.
participant-3927, 5:33 PM, December 12
Vit, what happens when you run out of space on the island? What’s the plan ?
participant-3927, 7:01 PM, December 12
I have no guest for my YouTube show tomorrow (Friday), at 10:30am PST. Is anyone interested to join me ?
participant-3927, 5:30 PM, December 13
I’m going to stream in an hour from now, my guest is Dan Norton, an Objectivist, who holds a Ph. D. in Philosopy. Dan is a badass guy, he called into Sam Seder youtube live (2M subscribers) and challenged Sam. This he did many times, and Sam actually posted those excerpts on his youtube channel aftertwards.
participant-3927, 10:49 PM, December 14
I have published a new article about Zionism and the country founding initiative available both in English and Russian, about Zionism, and how it relates to the project of starting a new country. It also has references to additional reading, with brief explanations about each resources, and links where to get it.
English version: https://anthemism.org/article/zionism/
