This is a way underrated threat to Canada’s national unity. Albertans, as I understand it, are unhappy about so-called equalisation, or subsidising central Canada, and Quebec in particular. As petrol prices continue to pick up, I suspect that will continue to increase. Canada should do a better job at federalism.

Yaron Brook says this, but he was very quick to visit Liberland when it was announced and now he went to meet with Free Cities Foundation. I think free banking is his excuse not to commit to the idea. But in his actions, he shows interest.

Also, saying something like this without having a written essay is just not enough. Everything else he says is backed by Objectivist writing, but this free banking problem as an absolute barrier is his idea which he didn’t develop fully. It’s more a question that deserves an answer, than a statement.

Any activity that is deemed as tax avoidance is going to be taxed by making up new tax law. Barter is taxable at market value gained.

That land is cheap because it’s zoned agricultural land, or single family home. If it could be subdivided and sold , it would have already been done .

I had another good meeting with the folks from the Thomas Paine Institute (TPI).
Nobody believes that destroying pristine natural areas to build luxury hotels or other real estate is environmentalism. Also neither white-collar nor blue-collar workers support radical chic environmentalism.

Environmentalist intentional communities are not built like luxury hotels. They are usually simple domes, often with only the bare minimum in terms of comfort.
The main reason I use a bidet is to increase my environmental footprint. I waste toilet paper before I even sit down, then I use pH-balanced intimate wash for my ass, hot water, and extra laundry for the towel I dry myself with. Libertarians & friends should start building projects specifically designed to increase pollution.
